CPR Refresher
Many accidents and injuries can occur in the workplace. Having a workplace first-aid program that includes training workers on how to give Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) minimizes these risks by giving the injured or sick person some basic treatment until professional emergency medical service personnel can arrive. This course IS NOT designed to be a primary or introductory lesson on CPR; rather it is intended to provide refresher training to workers who have already attended a certified CPR training program.
First-Aid Refresher
Many accidents and injuries can occur in the workplace. Having a workplace first-aid program minimizes these risks by giving the injured or sick person some basic treatment until professional emergency medical service personnel can arrive. This course IS NOT designed to be a primary or introductory lesson on first-aid and emergency response; rather it is intended to provide refresher training to workers who have already attended an initial first-aid training program.
OSHA Safety & Health
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), part of the U.S. Department of Labor, has a mission to save lives, prevent injuries and protect the health of America’s workers. OSHA does this by collaborating with workplaces to build worker safety and health programs that prevent problems before they occur. Regardless of company size or industry types, workers can intentionally or accidentally be placed in harm’s way. Workplace accidents not only impact the person suffering an injury, but also have a severe financial impact on the organization and can lead to government sanctions. Smart businesses know this, and work with OSHA and other organizations to prevent problems before they occur.
Safe Lifting Practices
Every year, many workers suffer back injuries caused when they improperly lift and carry heavy loads. This can affect most every worker in any industry, from an officer worker moving a box of copy paper to a carpenter constructing a building. This course discusses several tactics to help workers properly lift and carry heavy loads.
